I Will Build My Church

Pastor Derek and his wife stood literally 30 feet away from the Gates of Hell. No, it wasn't a dream or a vision. It was reality. They were in Israel, at Caesarea Philippi, at the same spot that Jesus took His disciples in the first century to ask them a most important question: "Who do you say that I am??" It was here that Jesus told His disciples (and us!) upon what truth He would build His church. When we consider Jesus' two questions to the disciples on that day, and the responses by the disciples, we realize that each of us must answer that question for ourselves. Because we are constantly being attacked spiritually by the forces of hell - the temptations, deception, division and much, much more. The Son's Prayer to the Father

When Jesus prayed to His Heavenly Father on the night before He was betrayed, He prayed for Himself, for His disciples, and for all of those who would believe in Him (including us!). His prayer serves as a model for us. Four specific things He prayed were:

• "Father, unify your children"
• "Father, show them your love"

Restoration
