Faith to Make Hard Choices

At a point in his life, Moses had to choose to follow God. He continually chose to follow God rather than to enjoy the short-lived pleasures of sin. When we have faith in God, we realize that our choices bring consequences. We realize that with God's help we can choose - every time! - to follow Jesus. In this message Faith to Make Hard Choices from Hebrews 11:24-26, you will learn two important principles of faith that will equip you to make the right choices, even when the decision is not easy to make. http://www.lpbaptist.org/HardChoices.mp3

Faith Requires You To Do Something

In Hebrews 11:23, Moses' parents show incredible faith of God. They choose faith over fear. Their decision changed not just the life of one baby boy, but ultimately the fate of a nation. Faith Requires You To Do Something. You can't just say you have faith in God if you never obey His commands. In this message, you will see what it was that led Moses' parents to make such a courageous step of faith. Their obedience will inspire you. And you will see how your faith can be that strong too as you realize what God wants you to do. http://www.lpbaptist.org/DoSomething.mp3

The Healer

Jesus is the Great Healer. The Bible tells us in Psalm 103:3 that the Lord is the one who forgives all our sin and heals all our diseases. Sometimes He works through medicine, and sometimes He works through miracles, but you can be assured that when healing takes place, the Lord is the one who brings the healing. In the gospels, we read a story of how a man comes to Jesus asking for healing for his dying 12-yr-old daughter, and how a woman who has been struggling with an illness for 12 years interrupts Jesus on the way to the man's house. What Jesus does is amazing.

But, does Jesus still heal today? If so, how do we receive this healing? And what about emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual healing - can He do all of that? Also, what about those times when it seems like Jesus is not bringing healing? What about people we pray for who don't receive healing? Is that a sign of lack of faith on someone's part? These and other questions are answered in this message The Healer, from Matthew 9:18-26 (and other select passages). http://www.lpbaptist.org/TheHealer.mp3
