Believing is Seeing
Common wisdom tells you that "seeing is believing." But through the eyes of faith in God, Believing is Seeing. LPBC elder Bob Appleton shares a message from Numbers 13 & 14 (and other select passages) to demonstrate just how clearly a person of faith can see. Their belief in God will transform them into a person who really believes, really sees, really impacts the lives of others for eternity. My Heart Leaps For Joy!
What makes your heart leap for joy? As David writes in Psalm 28, there are times that it seems like God is silent when we pray to Him. There are times that we wonder if He hears the sounds we make in the sanctuary as we cry out to Him. Life can be tough. Situations don't always seem to work out the way we want them to. However, if we trust in the LORD, we will see that He is the one who is our strength & shield. David learned how to say, "My Heart Leaps For Joy!" You can too. Your songs will be different, you will know who is your Savior, and the LORD will be your Shepherd. Listen here: http://www.lpbaptist.org/MyHeartLeapsForJoy.mp3

Nicaragua 2010 Mission Team Testimonies
On January 7-15, 2010 a team of people from 7 different churches in 3 different states traveled to Masaya, Nicaragua to join the Primero Iglesia Bautista Emanuel in ministry to the people of their church and their city. The team built homes, went throughout the barrios telling people of God's love and salvation through Jesus Christ, and leading an evening Youth Crusade. On Sunday evening, January 24 many members of the team gathered at Lake Placid Baptist Church to tell some of their stories. God used the trip to Nicaragua to change lives! Some of the changed lives were people from Nicaragua; others were the people who went on the trip. Listen here: http://www.lpbaptist.org/Nicaragua2010TestimonyService.mp3

The Power of Your Words
To be like Christ, we should talk like Jesus. Every word that He spoke was EXACTLY what God wanted Him to say. How about your words? Do they always honor God? Do you realize the power of the words that you say? In this message entitled The Power of Your Words, we focus on Colossians 4:6 and learn some powerful truths about our words. The Bible has lots to say about words and about language, from Adam & Eve to the Tower of Babel to the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2 to Revelation. There is much to learn. Jesus is the Word who became flesh. James speaks about the challenge of controlling our tongue. Wow! There's a lot to say... Listen here: http://www.lpbaptist.org/ThePowerOfYourWords.mp3
