Hands, Hearts, Hypocrites & Honor

In Matthew 15:1-9, Jesus and His disciples are criticized with a question by some religious leaders for the way they (didn't) wash their hands! Jesus, who is never caught by surprise, answered their criticizing question with a heart-exposing question back to them. He reveals how their pre-occupation with hand washing and other similar man-made rules was keeping them from simple obedience and blessings from God. He points out their hypocrisy in appearing to be religious even though they do not even honor their own parents!
