We Must Obey God Rather Than Men
Every day the world system pushes against the way of Christ. The world and its system does not want the gospel of Jesus to advance. Peer pressure can be tough on those who seek to live a life totally committed to the Lord Jesus Christ. What are we to do? Let us echo the words of the early apostles: We Must Obey God Rather Than Men. This message, from Acts 5:17-32, challenges us to obey Christ, even when it's unpopular to do so. A Story of Sharing, Lying and the Power of God
The early church saw God demonstrate His power and His salvation in amazing ways. Their lives were transformed by Jesus Christ. One of the things the Lord led them to do was to share with each other sacrificially. The results of this were amazing. But, not everyone was controlled by the Holy Spirit. Some people lied to God. The result for them was tragic. In this message, A Story of Sharing, Lying and the Power of God, from Acts 4:32-5:11, you will see the grace of God and the power of God in action, and you will hear how God wants you to respond. They Have Been With Jesus
When a person meets Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, that person is changed forever. The early disciples were so changed by Jesus that even nonbelievers noticed that they had been with Him. Have you been with Jesus? Can others tell that you have? What do Christ-followers know, and what do they pray? In The Name of Jesus
As Christians, we seek to live each day for Jesus' name to be glorified through our lives. The early disciples surely did too. When Peter & John went up to the temple at prayer time one day, they encountered a crippled man who needed to know Jesus personally. In the name of Jesus, there is healing. In the name of Jesus, there is forgiveness. In the name of Jesus, there is blessing. This message, In The Name of Jesus, from Acts 3:1-26, describes how the name of Jesus can be glorified in and through your life today. Authentic Christian Fellowship
In Acts 2:41-47, the Bible describes the way that the early Christians related to God and to each other. Their commitment to Jesus, their commitment to each other and their message of salvation transformed their lives and led to thousands of people putting their faith in Jesus Christ. What do we learn from them about how each local church can be an Authentic Christian Fellowship? The early church saw God move in powerful and awesome ways. They saw God turn their world upside down. Do you pray for God to move in that way again? Listen to the message here: http://www.lpbaptist.org/authenticchristianfellowship.mp3

When The Holy Spirit Pierced Their Hearts
What happened when the Holy Spirit came onto the first disciples as they were gathered in prayer? What happened even to the unbelievers who were nearby when the Holy Spirit came in power and the message of salvation was preached? How could 3000 people become followers of Jesus Christ in one day? Could this happen again? Listen to this message, When The Holy Spirit Pierced Their Hearts, from Acts 2:1-41 -- http://www.lpbaptist.org/whentheholyspiritpiercedtheirhearts.mp3
