Pour Out The Blessings!
God wants to bless His people. He is the purifier, the judge, the one who pours out blessings. According to Malachi 3:1-12, we need to recognize who He is, see what He has done, and respond in ways that honor Him. There are social, theological and economic principles to learn in these verses. Are You Giving God Your Leftovers?
When you think about what God has given to you, what are you willing to give to Him? According to Malachi 1:1-14, when you come to know who God is (through His names), and you recognize the love He has for you, you will respond with a holy fear of Him. This response will cause you to want to give God your best, not your leftovers. How do you do this? Are You Giving God Your Leftovers? The Serving Gifts, Part 1
There are so many wonderful ways to serve the Lord. In this message, part 1 of 2 on The Serving Gifts, Pastor Derek teaches on the the spiritual gifts of serving, encouragement, giving, showing mercy, music and singleness. Give Thanks and Praise to God
We have so many reasons to give thanks and praise to God. And, there are so many ways that we can give thanks and praise to God. In this message from 1 Chronicles 16:1-36 entitled Give Thanks & Praise to God you will learn the reasons and the ways that King David and the Israelites gave thanks and praise to God when the ark of the covenant was returning to Jerusalem, and you will learn how we can follow their example today. My God Will Supply All Your Needs
The Bible is clear that God - who cares more about you than He does about the birds of the air (and they never lack for food!) - will supply all your needs. But what do we really need? And, are we guaranteed that God will provide everything we want? Philippians 4:10-23 discuss principles of simplicity, sharing, spiritual blessings and supply, as we see how the apostle Paul - who for a time was very hungry, lonely and persecuted for his faith - tells us that My God Will Supply All Your Needs. Authentic Christian Fellowship
In Acts 2:41-47, the Bible describes the way that the early Christians related to God and to each other. Their commitment to Jesus, their commitment to each other and their message of salvation transformed their lives and led to thousands of people putting their faith in Jesus Christ. What do we learn from them about how each local church can be an Authentic Christian Fellowship? The early church saw God move in powerful and awesome ways. They saw God turn their world upside down. Do you pray for God to move in that way again? Listen to the message here: http://www.lpbaptist.org/authenticchristianfellowship.mp3
